We offer a relaxing bed and breakfast stay in beautiful surroundings, where you can feel instantly at home.
Moot Cottage is set in a pretty garden situated at the heart of the lovely Dorset village of Motcombe. The house was originally built in the late 18th century with later Victorian additions and recent modernisations.
Motcombe is two miles from the historic Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury set among the north Dorset downs. The house is owned and run by Ann Surtees. She lives with her friendly Springer Spaniel dog, who is very good at being shut away quietly when not required.
Accommodation includes a full English breakfast, with eggs from our own hens. For lunch and evening meals, there are pubs and a restaurant in the village and other pleasant places to eat in Shaftesbury.
We endeavour to make your stay a comfortable one and hope that you enjoy your time at the cottage.
"What a beautiful home, full of warmth and kindness. Thank you so much!" A and BM from London, UK, September 2008
